Koyal Rana’s Biography
Although a Delhiite at heart, 21-year-old Koyal Rana originally hails from Jaipur. She represented India at the Miss Teen International in Chicago and won the Miss Universal Teen 2009 title.
Koyal, who cites Sushmita Sen as her inspiration, got full support from her parents, especially her mother. An avid sports enthusiast,Koyal has won accolades in swimming and athletics. She loves maintaining a fit body and healthy skin, and perhaps this is why she won the award of ‘Miss Healthy Skin’ at the 51st edition of Femina Miss India.
But the most significant aspect of Koyal’s character can be seen in her philanthropic activities. She is actively involved in social works with various NGOs and is the co-founder of Moksha Foundation – an NGO working to improve sanitation situation and spread awareness on hygiene. This explains why she bagged the award of ‘Miss Beauty with a Purpose’, too.
